Animals and colours

Our students have been interested in animals and mixing colours! After reading Brown Bear, Brown Bear, we decided to mix our own primary colours and paint different animals with them. Some of our colour mixing predictions were correct and some gave us surprises.  

Parent/teacher Interviews

Student report cards went home yesterday. Please go over the report card with your child and send back the signed picture page in the envelope provided. Parent/teacher interviews will be taking place on Thursday, February 5th from 4-7pm. Please use the interview booking website to book an interview. Thank you and hope to see you on Thursday.

Retelling our favourite stories!

We had a lot of fun retelling our favourite stories Goldilocks and the Three Bears, The Three Little Pigs, and Little Red Riding Hood.

Math Journal Sharing

Our math take home program is well in its way. Here are the students that had a chance to do the same activity at home with their parents and then share and compare their findings during circle time.

This morning we enjoyed playing in the snow making snowmen, snow angels, castles and forts! 

Math Take Home Program

We are starting a new math take home program. Your child might come home in the next couple of days with a sharing journal along with a math activity. The activity is meant to be done together so please take the time to sit down and complete it with your child. After completing the activity please write in the journal explaining your conclusion and your child's thinking. You may include a picture or drawing. Please return to school by Friday and your child will get to share it during circle time. These activities are designed to help the students see how math is incorporated in our daily lives.
