Community Helpers

As a part of our curriculum expectation learning about community helpers we were very fortunate to have a few community helpers come and share with us what they do.  We would like to thank Chef Eric and his sous chef Katie for coming in and making mini pizzas with us.  Thank you to Officer T who taught us about the many jobs of a police officer and answered many of our important questions. Lastly, we could like to thank Mr. P the scientist and Emily who showed us some very cool experiments and even made a volcano erupt! The students have also worked really hard to make our own community using many recyclable and craft materials. Great job everyone!

Read-a-Thon 2014!

We had a great time and read lots of wonderful stories during this years read-a-thon. Of course, to make things even better we made it a pajama, smoothie and teddy bear day as well! We had some wonderful guest readers, as well as reading buddies with Mr.Huot's grade 3 class. A day to remember!

Reports and P/T Interviews

The student report cards will be going home on Monday, February 3rd.  The parent/teacher interviews are taking place on Thursday, February 6th.  This year all the interviews are being scheduled online (please see the letter sent home for your login and password).  There are still a few spots open for Thursday evening but in the event that you cannot make it, we will make every effort to meet with you either after school or we can have a quick phone interview. No matter what, we'll make it work...together we are better!

Can Drive

We will have a can drive from November 25th to December 6th.  Please help us feed those in need in our community by sending in a can good with your child.  If each of our 1000 plus students at Tecumseh Vista brings in one can...we will be able to help many families in our community this holiday season!

Book Fair

We will be visiting the Scholastic Book Fair on November 21st.  If you wish to make a purchase, please send your child with money in a labelled envelope and we will make sure that he/she gets the book(s).

Welcome to our Classroom 2013/2014 Blog!

We have had a busy but great start to our new school year. Now that the dust has settled down, Mme Roula and I are excited to provide you with an additional way of communicating through our classroom blog. My hope is that in the upcoming weeks and months you will be able see what we are doing and learning in the classroom, as well as keep track of classroom updates and important information.
